A Step-by-Step Beginner's Guide

This grid shows 4 squares per inch with a sub-grid every four feet.  Each square on this sheet represents one foot in reality. This is the scale that is usually used for final architectural plans.  

At this scale, the plans for a modestly sized home can be drawn on a 24″x36″ sheet of paper.
